League One club Millwall want to extend the loan stay of Newcastle United's Shane Ferguson.

According to Sky Sports, the Lions are keen to negotiate a deal with the Magpies that will see the 24-year-old remain at The Den for the remainder of the season.

Ferguson's loan stint expires on Saturday after the away clash with Chesterfield but Neil Harris wants to keep him around as Millwall chase a promotion playoff spot in England's third tier.

Since arriving in Bermondsey, Ferguson has made 27 appearances for the South London outfit.
