Millwall boss Ian Holloway believes Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish is too close to the club.
Former Palace boss Holloway wasn't surprised by Tony Pulis' departure last week.
He wrote in the Sunday Mirror: "Let no one be in any doubt that Steve Parish loves Crystal Palace.
"But, when Tony Pulis walked out of Selhurst Park on the eve of the new Premier League season, I couldn't help but think to myself that having such a passionate fan as Steve as chairman is perhaps part of the problem.
"He lives and breathes the club that he has supported since he was just four years old.
"But, sometimes, what a fan expects and what a chairman can practically deliver are two completely different things.
"When your heart rules your head in football, then you have problems.
"And when a hands-on owner no longer shares the same vision as the man he employs to manage the team, there is usually only one outcome."
