Former Australia U23 captain Mark Milligan has signed with J2 club JEF United Chiba.
The defensive utility has moved to JEF United in a $1.2 million deal from China's Shanghai Shenhua, turning down the chance of Champions League football in the process.
Milligan will attempt to help JEF United return to the J-League after their relegation last season.
