Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate says Fabio Rochemback is in the form of his life.

"I must say he's been excellent for us," Southgate told the Evening Gazette. "I think he's playing the best football he's played since he's been with us.

"On Sunday a typical English cup tie didn't faze him and his attitude to working for the team, digging in and playing with injuries has been first class."

Southgate added: "He has another two years on his contract so it's something we will discus with him as time goes on.

"He might dictate that (his future) to a degree as to what he wants to do."
