Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is set to step up negotiations with Reading for midfielder Steve Sidwell.
After capturing Didier Digard from PSG and Sparta Rotterdam winger Marvin Emnes in the last 24 hours, Southgate is now lining up a deal for Harper.
