Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate isn't interested in losing winger Adam Johnson.

The Evening Gazette says Rangers chief scout Ewan Chester watched Boro's clash with Hibs, but will be disappointed that Johnson played less than half an hour as a second half sub.

Rangers have not made an official offer, though Boro are likely to resist any approach.
