Middlesbrough want to bring Alvaro Negredo back to the Premier League.

The top flight returnees have their eye on the Valencia striker and have reportedly opened talks with the Spanish club regarding the player.

Multiple report suggest that Aitor Karanka has made contact with Negredo in a bid to lure him to the Riverside Stadium.

The 30-year-old has been with Valencia since last year after returning to his native Spain following a disappointing stint with Manchester City which started in the summer of 2013.
