Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has played down speculation of interest in Aberdeen's Lee Miller. Boro dispatched scout Gordon McQueen apparently to assess Miller's performance in their weekend clash with Celtic but he left Pittodrie at half-time with the Dons trailing 3-0 to Tony Mowbray's side.

"There is no truth in it whatsoever," he told the Press and Journal.
