Middlesbrough are moving for Portsmouth defender Dejan Stefanovic.

Boro will have to give Stefanovic, 32, a long-term contract to pull off the deal because he will need a work permit to stay in England, says the People.

Stefanovic's Pompey days are numbered and he can go for about £750,000. Boro have made an inquiry about a possible loan but he is looking for something permanent and could be more tempted by the chance to join Milan Mandaric at Leicester.
