David Meyler is happy for Paul McShane over his fight-back at Hull City.

McShane looked to be on his way out after clashing with manager Steve Bruce before Christmas.

Meyler said: "Paul is Paul, he gives you everything he has. He'll die for the cause.

"He's a terrific defender and a great man to have in the changing room.

"After the Manchester City game I went up to see my mother and father at the Etihad and even though I scored and we got a point, the first thing my Dad wanted to talk about was Paul McShane.

"As a fellow Irishman I'm chuffed he's here and doing so well."
