Roma defender Philippe Mexes is confident new January signings Souleymane Diamoutene and Marco Motta can handle the pressure of a Champions League tie with Arsenal.

"They are two great players and I am happy for them," smiled the Frenchman. "It isn't easy to play at the Olimpico.

"I hope Juan has not hurt himself too badly. Against Siena we were also missing [Daniele] De Rossi and [Simone] Perrotta on bans, so it's not easy to play without them.

"We hope to get [Jeremy] Menez and a few others fit for Tuesday so we can keep winning games."
