Christoph Metzelder says he's fully settled at Real Madrid.

A Bosman arrival in the summer from Borussia Dortmund, Metzelder said: "I now belong to the best club in the world, it is something special. Here, there is some arrogance, it's like in the case of Bayern Munich, a positive arrogance.

"A large part of the country likes Real Madrid and the rest probably hates it, but all profess great respect for the club."

On coach Bernd Schuster, Metzelder added: "He seems to me 60 per cent Spanish. He feels more comfortable here than in Germany, which is why he is revered in Spain - which is something you need if you're going to coach Real Madrid."
