Metz striker Thierry Ambrose admits he expects to leave parent club Manchester City next summer.

His City deal expires when his loan with Metz ends in June.

He told the Manchester Evening News: "I will definitely call it a day with these loan spells in the summer.

"I know I said the same thing last year and then I went on loan again but sometimes it does not always depend on me.

"Of course it would be a regret to leave without playing for the first team. I've always set my sights on playing at the Etihad Stadium, but that's life. I will always keep working hard and hope that I can return to Manchester City one day."
