Lionel Messi would welcome Barcelona going for Tottenham ace Gareth Bale and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.

Both Premier League stars could be on the move this summer.

"Wayne Rooney and Gareth Bale are both great players, they are doing so well for their clubs," Messi told the Daily Mail.

"And I always want to play with the best players. But I have to be careful with what I say because I can't see them leaving their teams soon. But of course I want to play with the best players."
