Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde has received support from captain Lionel Messi over his insistence that Arturo Vidal not be sold.
The Chile midfielder is a top target for Inter Milan, with several Barca directors favouring his sale this month. However, Gazzetta dello Sport says Messi has made it clear to the club's football chiefs that Vidal must stay.
"Arturo is untouchable, with him we can win the Champions League," Messi is said to have told Barca directors.
Meanwhile, on the weekend, Valverde insisted: "I see no problem.
“After Carles Alena's move (to Real Betis on loan), nobody else will leave."
