Australia defender James Meredith put in a full shift as League Two Bradford City dumped Arsenal out of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
The 24-year old former York City man played the full 120 minutes at left-back as the Bantams won 3-2 in a penalty shootout after it ended 1-1 at the end of extra-time.
Garry Thompson fired Bradford into the lead with a side-footed volley on 16 minutes before Gunners skipper Thomas Vermaelen equalised with two minutes remaining with a back post header.
Bradford's back four, consisting of Meredith, Rory McArdle, Carl McHugh and Stephen Darby managed to thwart a strong Arsenal side for almost the entire match, including 30 minutes of added time, before Phil Parkinson's men won yet another shootout to make it nine in a row.
They will now move into the semi-finals for the first time in club history where they will be joined by Aston Villa, who beat Norwich City 4-1, the winner of Swansea City v Middlesbrough and Leeds United v Chelsea in the final four.
