Former Barcelona midfielder Gaizka Mendieta expects his old club to dominate LaLiga this season.

Mendieta, speaking with Mundo Deportivo, also tips Lamine Yamal for a big impact this term.

Which team is the favorite to win La Liga this season?

"I'm thinking of Barça. The team has improved compared to last season, but I see Atlético and Real Madrid as close candidates."

Who will be the revelation player?

"We have to talk about Lamine Yamal. He is only 16 years old and I think he is an incredible player. He has a great ability to understand the context and his position on the pitch."

What can we expect from Valencia?

"We hope they don't suffer as much as last year. Valencia is what it is and we have to be realistic, we can't talk about titles or Europe. It's a very young team and Baraja is playing his cards well. The first thing it's not suffering, and building from there."
