Felipe Melo insists he wants to stay with Fiorentina, despite interest from Serie A champs Inter Milan.

"I am happy to hear of interest from a great club. It means that I am doing my job well," Melo told SporTV.

"However, I am a Fiorentina player. I still have four years to run on my contract with the Viola and I am very happy in Florence.

"The city is fantastic and the fans have received me with a great deal of affection since my first day here.

"Inter's interest in me, as far as it appears to be true, clearly makes me happy."
