Melbourne Victory women renew banking and fitness deals

Football Federation Victoria (FFV) and the Melbourne Victory W-League team have renewed their partnerships with Jetts Fitness and Banking on Football, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The Jetts Fitness logo will appear on the front of the Australian women's soccer champions' matchday jerseys for a second successive season, with players and coaching staff set to receive free 12-month memberships to the gym chain. Banking on Football, meanwhile, will retain its position on the lower back of the players' shirts.

Both sponsors will also continue to support the efforts of FFV in growing women's soccer throughout the state. Banking on Football will aid clubs at the grassroots level through its Cash 4 Clubs initiative.

Jetts Fitness Victoria state director Tim O'Shea described the extension as a "no-brainer", saying: "Jetts Fitness was delighted to be a major partner during the squad's incredible success last season, and we're excited by the direction of the team and FFV and the rapid growth of women's football in Australia."

Margot Sweeney, the chief executive of Banking on Football, added: "With the increased coverage of women's football in Australia and strong participation numbers among female footballers, we couldn't be happier to support a group of female athletes who set a fine example on and off the pitch."
