Melbourne Victory captain Kevin Muscat will almost certainly retire following this season's Asian Champions League campaign. The 37-year old defender is currently serving an eight-match A-League ban for a tackle on Melbourne Heart youngster Adrian Zahra about a month ago which raised question marks about his future in the game.
Reports suggest that Muscat will make an announcement tomorrow, informing the public of his plans to close the curtain on his extensive playing career once the Victory's obligations in Asia's premier club competition are finished.
The Victory kickstart their ACL campaign on March 1 when Japanese club Gamba Osaka comes to town before taking on Korean outfit Jeju United and Chinese club Tianjin Teda in the ensuing weeks.
