Melbourne Victory striker Robbie Kruse is solely focused on helping the team climb back up the A-League table.
The 22-year old has scored in his past two matches for the 5th-placed Victory and is hoping he can do more of the same when they take on his old club the Brisbane Roar on Saturday night.
"Every player when they leave a club, they want to come out and prove them wrong and play good against them especially," said Kruse.
"But I'm just focusing on (the fact) we had a good win last week and we just want to consolidate that and to win this week.
"They're a great attacking team ... but we're not worried about them. We know how good we are and we showed glimpses of that against Sydney (3-0 last weekend).
"Here at Melbourne Victory we've got high standards and we expect a lot, the fans expect a lot.
"We think we should be up there top of the table. This week is a big test for us against Brisbane.
"It's been publicised a lot, we hadn't scored many goals.
"It was good to get three goals and myself to score as well. It's always good for confidence."
