Melbourne Victory striker Robbie Kruse is on the verge of a return to the first team after a three week injury lay-off.
Kruse has been out with an injured hamstring but returned to the Victory's youth team this weekend, scoring twice to potentially set up a return against former club Brisbane Roar in round 15 of A-League action.
Kruse scored in the 28th and 33rd minutes as the Victory overcame Perth Glory 3-0 with Nathan Elasi grabbing he third goal late in the second half.
First team regulars Evan Berger and Nicky Ward were also used by the Victory in the match held at Perth's Clipsal Stadium.
