Melbourne Heart are believed to be showing considerable interest in Brisbane Roar striker Jean Carlos Solorzano.
The 23-year old Costa Rican enjoyed a stellar debut season in the A-League, scoring 11 goals as the Roar took out the Championship/Premiership double.
Solorzano joined the Roar from homeland club LD Alajuelense on a one-year loan deal and will be available to other clubs when that expires at the end of March.
Heart football manager John Didulica admitted that Solorzano was certainly a player the Heart will take a look at in the off-season.
"He is a goal scorer, a penalty-box player who has shown he can perform in this league,'' Didulica said.
''We are missing a lot of experience with the loss of not just John Aloisi but also Gerald Sibon and Josip Skoko, so we feel he is the sort of player who could do a job for us.''
