McManaman working with Liverpool academy kids

Former Liverpool academy graduate Steve McManaman is pushing to improve the club's next crop of young talent.

The legendary ex-midfielder, who won the Champions League with Real Madrid, has been working as an advisor.

Per The Mail, McManaman focuses his work on the club's academy coaches, trying to grow their ability.

McManaman often attends youth matches and is even involved in training at Kirkby.

The TNT Sports pundit works with the likes of Under 18s boss Marc Bridge-Wilkinson and youth analyst Scott Mason.

The Reds are always looking to use the knowledge and experience of people with a connection to the club.
