Brisbane Roar captain Matt McKay has compared the playing style of the Australian national team to that of his club.
McKay came on for a 15 minute cameo in the Socceros' 1-0 win over Paraguay in Sydney on Saturday and on his return to Suncorp Stadium, said that Holger Osieck's way of playing rated alongside Roar boss Ange Postecoglou's.
"It's exactly the way we play at our club," he said.
"It's all about ball possession and also about if you've got an opportunity to play it forward, you play it forward."
And McKay said he was already looking forward to being back in camp with the Socceroos after enjoying his time in Sydney immensely.
"I really enjoyed the week in camp," he added.
"I got to meet some players I hadn't met before and get a hold of the new manager and the new set-up.
"I didn't feel out of place and I want to be part of it in the future."
