McGrath slams Man Utd: No pace, poor passing and no incisive attacking

Manchester United hero Paul McGrath has slammed the quality of the current squad.

Writing in the Sunday World, the Irishman blasted: "Manchester United's supporters will go nuts if there is not at least one new player in Old Trafford later this week.

"Then they will trust Louis van Gaal to buy three more in the last week of the transfer window.

"But frankly what we saw from Manchester United's players yesterday against Swansea was more of the same, the same stuff that got David Moyes fired after less than a season in charge.

"No pace, poor passing and no incisive attacking, it was all that we saw last season, under a different manager but from almost the same group of players.

"The fear factor is gone too, for opposing teams no longer worry about playing at Old Trafford, about the inevitable attacking onslaught and the goals that follow it."
