Celtic have suspended Aiden McGeady for two weeks and fined him following a breach of club discipline. It is believed that the 22 year old Republic of Ireland international is paying the price for a weekend bust up with manager Gordon Strachan.
The pair are said to have been involved in a heated dressing room discussion immediately after Celtic's 1-1 draw with Hearts at Parkhead on Saturday.
The reigning Scottish Player of the Year will now be forced to sit out the club's next two fixtures, ruling him out of an Old Firm clash with Rangers on 27th December.
