Scott McDonald was absolutely delighted to contribute to the return to form of Middlesbrough during the week.
The Australian striker netted a brace as Boro bounced back to the winners list with a 3-0 home victory over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
The Teessiders remained in third place on the Championship table thanks to the victory, which comes on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Bristol City and he was thrilled to help Tony Mowbray's side to a vital lot of three points.
"When you score goals and win games, it's always enjoyable," McDonald, who leads the Boro scoring charts with seven in all competitions, told the club's official website.
"It was a good all-round team performance and keeping clean sheets is nice as well.
"Saturday was disappointing and we needed to bounce back and thankfully we've done that.
"The game had a competitive edge and there's nothing wrong with that, it's a good sign that players are showing that determination and are fully committed."
