McDonald nets late goal but not enough for Middlesbrough

Scott McDonald continued his good start to the season by getting on the scoresheet yet again for Middlesbrough.

The 27-year old Australian striker netted in the 89th minute of Boro's 2-1 Carling Cup loss to Millwall in front of 6,704 fans at the New Den overnight.

Kenny Jackett's Lions brushed aside the Teesiders with first-half goals from Steve Morrison and Liam Trotter before McDonald pulled one back in the final minute.

The former Celtic man has now scored three goals in six appearances in all competitions so far this season.
