Scott McDonald feels the current spirit of the Middlesbrough squad can continue to push the team towards consistently positive results.
The Tessiders recorded a second win on the trot when they defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 at home on Saturday which allowed them to go clear in fourth position on the Championship table.
McDonald, who scored the winner against Brighton, says that things in the dressing room are very good at Middlesbrough and is eyeing another good performance against third-placed Cardiff City this weekend.
"A couple of weeks ago you probably wouldn't have thought that we would be where we are, but there's a completely different feeling after Saturday's win.
"We have managed to pick ourselves up and that's down to the great camaraderie in the dressing room.
"Bristol was a real tough game and to score late was delightful - and a change!
"Hopefully the signs are there that there is more of that resilience and character to come, and I think it had an effect on Saturday.""I remember saying after the West Ham game (2-0 loss on November 29) that we needed to bounce back," McDonald told the club's official website.
