Nottingham Forest boss Steve McClaren wants to sign Manchester City fullback Wayne Bridge.
The People says McClaren is unhappy that he has not been able to recruit more players to Forest - although an uneasy truce has developed between him and his board of directors.
That will be tested as he tries to bring in one of his former England players Bridge on loan from Manchester City.
