Wolves boss Mick McCarthy may hand Matt Doherty a Premier League debut today against Newcastle United.

Doherty impressed when going on at half-time seven days ago.

"Doherty has trained with the first team for a long while now and has looked an accomplished footballer who knows his position," said McCarthy.

"Newcastle will be coming here confident. They have lost some big players and some big characters."
