McCarthy didn't ask about salary when making Man Utd move

Manchester United coach Benni McCarthy has been crucial to the form of Marcus Rashford.

That is the opinion of several people behind the scenes at the club, per The Mail and other sources.

Rashford is in the best form of his career, scoring 16 goals in his last 17 matches.

McCarthy was reportedly so keen to come to United this summer that he did not even ask about his salary.

Instead, the former FC Porto striker wanted to work with Erik ten Hag and bring back success to United.

McCarthy, who scored against the club in the Champions League many years ago, is a self-confessed United fan.
