Motherwell manager Stuart McCall was absolutely thrilled to see his side cruise past Aberdeen 4-1 on Boxing Day.
Goals from Tom Hateley and Michael Higdon bookended a Jamie Muprhy double as the Steelmen dominated at Fir Park and the result was well-received by McCall who tinkered with his formation for the visit of Craig Brown's Dons.
"I decided to match them and play three forwards up against their three centre-backs and I think with Murphy's two goals, one for Higgy and Henrik Ojamaa's performance it worked," he said.
"It can be a dangerous game, but you have to have faith in your defenders and that your frontmen can do more damage to them than they can to you.
"If there were any scouts here today they probably went away with five or six names on a piece of paper."
Motherwell remained third on the SPL table, joining second-placed Inverness on 33 points, who drew 2-2 with St Mirren. Celtic sit seven points clear of the Well and Caley at the top of the table.
