Motherwell midfielder Kith Lasley revealed that boss Stuart McCall was furious after watching his side lose 3-0 at home to St Johnstone yesterday.
The Steelmen capitulated at Fir Park for their second loss in a row after a brilliant start to the season and the performance was not received well by former Bradford City boss McCall who took over the 'Well post at the start of 2011.
"It was poor stuff. The manager said it was the worst performance he'd taken charge of and he's right," Lasley said.
"There were some harsh words spoken in the dressing room. The gaffer was frustrated but so were the players.
"We know how well we can play and we just didn't turn up."
McCall will be hoping Motherwell can redeem themselves when they take on Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup on Tuesday before Saturday's league visit of Aberdeen.
