Fulham match-winner Brian McBride believes his side can build on their crucial 1-0 victory over Everton at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
McBride notched the decider in the 67th minute when he met a cross from Simon Davies to head beyond stranded American compatriot Tim Howard and give Fulham their win.
"It was a good game for us today all-round. The back four were so strong right from the beginning, and we need to continue that every game," McBride told Sky Sports 1.
"To be honest, we were pretty solid; they moved (Joleon) Lescott up front, and we were able to deal with that. We hung on, and also got forward a little bit."
As for his goal, the American said: "It came off a defender (Joseph Yobo); I came across and happened to be in the right spot."
McBride added: "We've got to focus on the next game, against Newcastle. We believe we can do it (avoid relegation). I hope we do."
