McBreen hoping for new deal after premiership success with Central Coast

Daniel McBreen is eager to sign a new contract with the Central Coast Mariners after helping the club take out the A-League premiership on Sunday.

The competition's Golden Boot winner with 17 regular season goals added another to his tally with the match-winning penalty in the 68th minute of their 2-0 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers.

35-year old McBreen, who also scored in the 1-0 semi-final win over Melbourne Victory, says he is keen to remain with the Mariners after joining the club from Perth Glory in 2010.

"I'm not sure yet what's happening next season," he said.

"I love it here. I love the place, I love the people, I love the team, the coaching staff, living near the beach - everything.

"Hopefully we can work something out."
