Rome mayor Ignazio Marino believes AS Roma's new stadium will be Europe's greatest.
Building for the new ground will begin later this year.
"(James) Pallotta told me that he understands the pressure I'm putting on him," said Marino to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I'm keen on the most advanced and most technological stadium in the European continent to rise in the Italian capital.
"But it's no less important to him that the stadium be built as soon as possible. As a businessman, he is subject to a continuous outflow of money that won't return until the stadium is open and fully functional.
"When I spoke with Pallotta he was in Texas working with [Mark] Pannes [the CEO of Stadio di Roma] and he told me they're taking some great steps.
"He said that on the week beginning March 23, Pannes himself will illustrate their progress on the executive project. I am absolutely not worried."
