Mayor of Valladolid slams Barcelona victory: An inconceivable disgrace

The mayor of Valladolid, Oscar Puente, has slammed ref Jaime Latre after last night's defeat at Barcelona.

Puente took to social media to express his anger at the official's display with the whistle.

The man in the middle ignored pleas from the visitors to give a penalty when the ball struck Jordi Alba's hand in the second half with the score still goalless.

VAR reviewed with Latre's on-pitch call but that didn't stop Puente from sharing his disgust at the arbitrator's judgement with his followers.

"The robbery is crystal clear," he wrote on Twitter. "It's an inconceivable disgrace."

Later in the second half, the Aragónese ref showed a red card to Valladolid's Oscar Plano for a foul on Ousmane Dembele, prompting further rage from Puente.

"Mother of beautiful love," he wrote. "What shamelessness. Minute 80 and it's still 0-0 even like this. There are 11 heroes out there wearing Blanquivioleta today. What indecency."
