Mathais Pogba insists his move to CD Machego in Madrid has nothing to do with brother Paul's plans.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is a target for Real Madrid and it's been suggested Mathais has left Tours for Machego to join his brother in the city.

But he told AS: "My transfer has something to do with the rumours sending Paul to Real Madrid? Rumours ... We can not do anything with that. I am here because I am here, not because my brother can come.

"Mathias Pogba wants to come here. Uncertainty about my brother's future? We are quiet, always quiet. If he wants to come, he will come and if he does not come, he will not come.

"A player like Pogba missing at Real Madrid? I think my brother can help any team. If he chooses Real Madrid, he will help Real Madrid. What do I want for my brother? I always want the best for him. If he think it's the best team for him, he'll come."
