Mason and Townsend cook up a storm as Tottenham delve into Malaysian life

Ryan Mason was more than happy to try his hand at cooking a Malaysian delicacy on Tuesday.

The Tottenham midfielder, along with teammate Andros Townsend, attempted to cook up a storm ahead of Spurs' Asian tour meeting with a Malaysian XI at the Shah Alam Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday night.

Mason and Townsend were put through their paces as they tried to create Roti Canai bread and although the former admits he is no chef, he said it was brilliant to be involved with such passionate local people.

"To come all this way and see so many fans here is great. What's 20 minutes of your time?" said Mason.

"It's crazy, the Premier League seems to be growing all the time. It's probably the biggest division in the world right now.

"Talking to the fans, they know all about us because they watch us every week on the TV. So it is nice to come over here and give something back.

"The bread making? I enjoyed it, but it was not the best. I was struggling a little bit to be fair because I don't spend much time in the kitchen.

"But I thought I'd give it a go and am glad I did."
