Sylvain Marveaux has confirmed he's eyeing a Newcastle United return before the end of the season.

Marveaux, out since November, could play again this season after making a quicker than expected recovery from groin and hip surgery.

The 25-year-old summer signing from Rennes said: "I'm over the worst and I just want to be on the pitch."
