Martins: Africans happy at Newcastle

Obafemi Martins says all of Newcastle United's Africans are happy on Tyneside.

The quartet of Martins, Geremi, Habib Beye and Abdoulaye Faye will miss six weeks of the season when they link up with their respective countries for the African Nations Cup.

Martins told the Evening Chronicle: "I am scoring goals and I'm happy here.

"I would like to think I have helped the other African players too. They are getting used to life here.

"And they are smiling - which means they are settling in.

"Maybe they won't say it now, but I think they will all say they want to play here for four or five years."
