Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has urged Everton to stand by manager Marco Silva.
Martinez found himself in a similar position to Silva, with a clamour for his departure from the terraces after a bad end to what proved to be his final season.
“Maybe looking back, if I could have explained my long-term project for club, fans would have seen why the last three months of campaign were so difficult," he told the Mirror.
“Probably that is me learning from experience, and I know now you need to get a long-term vision out there so they can understand, can see where we're at and, crucially, that every defeat isn't a disaster."
