Martinez, Krol signings excite Chicago Fire's Klopas

Chicago Fire technical director Frank Klopas is excited about the new additions to the playing roster for the 2010 season.

The Fire brought in 22-year old Polish left-back Krzysztof Krol and 24-year old Salvadorian midfielder Julio Martinez on loan for the season and their inclusion is something to look forward to according to Klopas.

"He's a good, young, dynamic player that looks to get forward," Klopas told Chicago Fire Confidential of Krol. "He's physically strong and he's a talented young player.

"We want to attack and get forward and I think he fits that role and also we have a super coach from whom he can learn and become better so I think he's in a very good environment and it's up to him to come with the right attitude and work hard every day to improve as a player."

On Martinez, Klopas said: "Julio is a very good player. He's able to play different positions which is good. He's very comfortable on the right side and he's able to play on both sides of the ball and that's the complete player. He's very good in the air, a very good crosser, very good shot and can shoot from outside very well."
