Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez was full of praise for Jean Beausejour after victory at Tottenham .

Martinez was delighted with the midfielder's performance.

He told Absolute Radio: "He's got the international experience, he plays for Chile, he has played in a World Cup and he gets tactical dispositions really really well. And obviously we had to do that with Aaron Lennon we had to do that with Gareth Bale, wherever you look this side the Spurs side they have got an incredible counterattack quality and the individuals they are capable of scoring at any time.

"So the concentration was fantastic from our point of view. But more than that I thought it wasn't just a good defensive display, I thought what we had on the ball or the amount of chances that we created from open play that was part of our complete performance."
