Everton boss Roberto Martinez has held talks with chairman Bill Kenwright about their summer market plans.
Everton's manager wants his side to finish the campaign by taking a maximum nine points to secure a place in the top 10 but he is already looking to the window to see what players will be available to strengthen his hand.
"We've sat down but we haven't gone into real detail on figures," he said.
"We want to be very strong next season and that means we need to keep hold all of our good performers. We've identified three positions that we need to strengthen. We have nine points to play for and we want to finish strong."
