French club Marseille are hoping to sign Jason Denayer on a season-long loan.
The highly-rated Belgian defender is fifth in line at Manchester City following the recent arrival of Nicolas Otamendi from Valencia and is keen for regular game time this season.
With captain Vincent Kompany, expensive signing Eliaquim Mangala and veteran Martin Demichelis also ahead of him in the centre-back pecking order, Denayer is keen to again experience a first-term environment as he did last season with Scottish giants Celtic.
Turkish side Galatasaray are keen on the 20-year-old as well but Denayer appears more interested in France's Ligue 1 and will now hold talks with Marseille according to reports.
