Sporting CP's plans to re-sign Leicester City striker Islam Slimani is under threat.

The Algeria international has been on-loan this season with AS Monaco and is being linked with a return to Sporting, where they're prepared to buy him outright.

However, A Bola says Olympique Marseille are also interested and keen to keep Slimani in France.

OM sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta is already in contact with Leicester about a price for the striker.

The one sticking point, however, will be the player's wages, with his current €95,000-a-week deal regarded as too rich for OM's player budget.
