Didier Drogba will not be completing a sensational return to Marseille this summer.
The Chelsea striker spent a season with the French club in 2003/04 but is not set for a comeback according to OM president Vincent Labrune.
37-year old Drogba's future at Stamford Bridge is once again clouded but it is official that the Stade Velodrome will not house him again after he netted 32 goals in 55 appearances more than a decade ago.
"Drogba is an idol at OM but in terms of salary it's not possible," Labrune told the Daily Mail.
"Drogba only stayed one year but he caught the imagination of the supporters. He is a living legend."
